One of my biggest concerns when we moved to Westchester County was finding trustworthy and committed animal care for my pets. I am the proud parent of 2 Aussie mix dogs, Socrates and Gracie and 1 Maine coon cat, Miles. Socrates is a senior dog with a variety of health concerns and needs special care and medication. Also, I took a job in the city in which coming home often during the day to take care of them was impossible.

I found Critter Care due to the concern and care of Barbara just answering a question on a message board I posted looking for a vet and a dog park since I was new in the area. I asked her to visit for an initial consultation. Barbara’s concern and connection with my animals was immediate. At that time, our house was far outside the geographic area that Critter Comfort serves. Barbara came anyways.

When we decided to move, I made sure that our new rental house was in the area for Critter Comfort to take care of our animals. Over the past year, Barbara and Lauren have provided dog walks, dog park trips, pet taxi to the vet, pet sitting for over a week while we were out of the country, and pet medication administration. I am in constant contact with Barbara about Socrates. She is always there when he needs special care or medication to be picked up. She leaves me detailed messages everyday after she walks the dogs.

Travel is required by my job. The relief I feel knowing my small animal family is safe and cared for while I am away makes all the difference in the world. My animals are happy everytime I come home.

I recommend Critter Comfort to my friends and neighbors. Socrates is 13 yrs old. Over his lifetime, I have never had such a dedicated, concerned, compassionate, and trustworthy pet service company.

To Whom This May Concern:

We would highly recommend Barbara and Lauren to anybody who needs a loving caretaker for their pets.  They genuinely love animals and our cats seem to be able to sense that quality in them.  Our cats took to them right away. We leave our home knowing we have nothing to worry about.  It's hard enough to leave your pet family behind, but with Barbara and Lauren watching over them we can leave with peace of mind.

Pet sitters do much more than provide your pet with food and water while you're away from home. A good pet sitter also spends quality time with your pet, gives him exercise, and knows how to tell if your pet needs veterinary attention. We consider ourselves most fortunate to have Barbara and Lauren watch our three cats and keep a watchful eye on our home. They are trustworthy, reliable, and compassionate.

We have a senior cat, a three year old and a kitten and Barbara and Lauren have been able to tune in to their personalities, caring for them physically as well as emotionally. We are completely at ease leaving them and know they are perfectly capable of recognizing and handling any type of medical or behavioral issue.

Before Barbara and Lauren we had our neighbor take care of our cats when we went away. He did a good job of feeding them and cleaning their boxes, but when we returned they were clearly stressed.

What a difference when Barbara a Lauren watch them. Now, when we come home, not only is the house in perfect order, but more important, the cats are happy which is extremely important to us. They don’t even seem to miss us!
